Errands

I read this little tip somewhere out in the web and it really struck me as a good idea: get an errand basket. Everyday before you leave the house you put your "to do" errands inside the basket and into the front seat of your car and that way it's so easy to accomplish your errands. Even after knowing this I resisted thinking of yet another thing I would have to carry with me (plus the kids) but about a week later I FINALLY did it and it has changed the way I run errands! Get yourself a pretty basket (with enough room) and send me a comment on what it did for you.

Obama - what would you do?

I'm a little peeved today....my son came home talking about Obama the new president (since Santa is no longer president) and that black people are bad.  WHAT?!  Ok this is clearly something he overheard from another misinformed 4 yr old but still.....not what I wanted to hear today.  He isn't even old enough to take a bus to school.. Imagine what they'll learn in kindergarten.

Aha Moments...

So I was having one of those days where I didn't get organized early enough in the morning and I had time to do stuff (since my sitter was with the kids) and I didn't know what to do. Going home to get stuff together wasn't really an appealing option so I got my nails done instead. That's right I took some selfish me time vs errands. You know what it took 20 minutes and cost 12.00 so I'll skip the trip to Starbucks 2x a week and treat myself. It felt so good to have some tiny part of me polished...it was my aha moment on the day. Organize AGAIN

Are you still cleaning up from the holidays? School vacation is fianlly over and your life can go back to normal now ;) I'm sure you still need more bins, containers, art supply boxes, canvas storage and fast! Here are my favorites from Land of Nod. Click the pictures to take you there!

Resolutions

Resolutions are apart of every new year whether we like it or not. I like it because it gives me the hope and inspiration to organize, create, exercise and overall be a happier me! I have some great things in store for Posh Passy and some other ventures I have brewing so I am looking forward to this new year and embracing it! Further proof of that I watched a workout video this evening to prep myself for what I'll do in the morning. I also write to you with a face mask on so I'm multi-tasking while beautifying ;)

Here are my resolutions for this new year. I'm keeping the list short so I will accomplish everything on the list. I'm going to create a special section for this post so we moms (and friends) can all follow along with support and advice. I'd love to hear all your resolutions too! Leave your comments below and happy new year! Let's make it a great one together!

My Resolutions:

1. Being healthier and taking care of myself
(more sleep, more primping time, occasional spa day)

2. Spending quality time with my family
(playing games, getting outdoors, vacations)

3. More time in front of my sewing machines
(My studio space will be ready in spring and I'm so excited)

Ok so what have I done about it so far? Well I ordered some new sneakers from RYKA and I have a mom's helper now so I can accomplish my daily tasks plus posh passy. But I did eat a panini, chips and after I wash off my mask I may steal some nibbles from the cabinet of bad things. Hey it's only been a day! I'll keep you updated.....

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

How did you ring in the new year? I did what a lot of other mom's probably did. I slept through it. Oh well...my sleep is worth missing the ball drop.
